In spring, beautiful flowers bloom one after another. At Miharashi no Oka, an event called “Flowering” is held from late March to early May, where visitors can enjoy a variety of spring flowers.
The park is divided into a vast area of about 200 hectares, with large flower gardens spread over several areas.
In spring, daffodils, tulips, nemophila, and roses are at their best, zinnias in summer, and kochia (broomrape) and cosmos in autumn are beautiful.
One of the highlights of the park is Japan’s largest collection of daffodils, with approximately 550 varieties and 1 million plants (blooming time: usually from late March to mid-April).
Nemophila at Miharashi no Oka is a popular spot with a spectacular view!
The “nemophila,” which covers the entire hill with beautiful blue flowers, is especially noteworthy.
The flowers, which are usually at their best from late April to mid-May, are an annual plant native to North America, and its Japanese name is rurikarakusa (meaning “lapis lazuli arabesque”).
As you proceed from the park’s west entrance or wing gate and reach the 58-meter-high “Miharashi no Oka” (Miharashi Hill), the blue-colored scenery will captivate your eyes and captivate your heart. Enjoy the beautiful sight of the sky and the sea united as much as you like.
The best time to view the scenery is usually from mid-April to early May. The blue hills become one with the clear sky and sea, attracting many tourists who visit. Please enjoy the spectacular view unique to this location during this season.
